Terms of Service

Last updated: draft — no fixed date until this is finalized.

What you’re agreeing to

These terms cover use of Manilla by account holders (the freelancers and businesses who build and send requests) and, where relevant, by the clients who submit information through a request link. Using the product means accepting these terms.

Your account

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. One account is meant for one person or business — don’t share login credentials.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Manilla to:

  • Request or collect information you don’t have a lawful basis to ask for.
  • Send request links for phishing, spam, or any deceptive purpose.
  • Upload or request files that are illegal to possess or distribute.
  • Attempt to access another account holder’s requests, files, or client data.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account found doing the above.

What you’re responsible for

Manilla is a tool for building and sending requests — it does not review or approve what you ask your clients for. You’re solely responsible for the content of your requests, for having any consent or legal basis required to collect that information, and for how you use whatever your clients submit back to you.

Plans and pricing

The Free plan is limited to a small number of active requests at a time and never charges you. Paid plans — Starter, Pro and Custom — and their current prices are listed on the pricing page. Starter and Pro can be bought directly from Dashboard → Billing; Custom is arranged by talking to us.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance, as an auto-renewing subscription that continues until you cancel it. Annual is priced at ten times the monthly rate. Payments in Indian rupees are processed by Razorpay; accounts that were set up to pay in US dollars are processed by PayPal, and an existing subscription is never moved between the two. We don’t see or store your card, UPI or bank details — the processor handles them.

The price of a subscription is fixed for as long as it runs. If we change what a plan costs, the new price applies from your next renewal and we’ll tell you before that renewal happens, so you can cancel first if you’d rather not continue.

Plan limits

Each paid plan includes a number of requests per month — on an annual subscription that allowance is monthly too, not a single yearly pool. The exact numbers are on the pricing page, along with what counts as a request. Reaching the limit stops you creating new requests until the allowance next refills or you upgrade; it never disables links you have already sent, and it never touches files you have already collected.

Cancelling, renewals and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Dashboard → Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending your access on the spot — you keep the paid plan for the period you have already paid for, and the account moves to the Free plan when that period ends. Nothing you have collected is deleted when that happens.

If a renewal payment fails, the account is treated as unpaid and falls back to Free plan limits until a payment succeeds. Existing requests and files stay where they are.

When we refund, and how to ask for one, is set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability

Manilla is an early-stage product built and operated by one person. It’s provided on an “as is” basis with no uptime guarantee at this stage. We’ll do our best to keep it running and to communicate any planned downtime, but we can’t promise a formal service level.

Termination

You can stop using Manilla and request account deletion at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, with notice where practical.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Manilla is provided without warranties of any kind, and we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including loss of data. Given the early stage of the product, keep independent copies of anything critical.

Changes to these terms

These terms will change as the product does. Material changes will be reflected on this page; there is no separate notification mechanism yet.
